UV Rays and Cloudy Days.

It's a grey rainy day, so you might be thinking you don’t need to wear sunglasses or sunscreen, but in reality, 90% of the UV rays are still penetrating through the cloud cover! So don’t reserve your sunglasses for sunny days. There's a lot more than what meets the eye...

UV rays damage the eyes at multiple levels, starting from the ocular surface and all the way to the back. Cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and eye or skin cancers are few of the possible consequences of chronic UV exposure. Unprotected, the risk for such conditions increases rapidly. Just like your skin needs sunscreen, your eyes need sunglasses.
