Free Broken Eyeglass Repair During Covid-19

During the COVID-19 outbreak, our opticians are offering free “no-contact” eyeglasses repairs. If you need your eyeglasses to drive, read, work, or simply do normal daily tasks, having broken glasses is extremely limiting during an already difficult time. If your lens has fallen out, your glasses are missing a screw, or you need a replacement nose pad, we want to help out and fix your glasses for free. (See the coverage in the Nanaimo Bulletin here!)

No more adhesive tape!

Those who need eyeglass repairs are asked to set up an appointment by calling us at 250-591-1018 to arrange a time to bring their glasses to our clinic located at 1650 Terminal Ave. North. The service is free, but any donations patients wish to make will help support the annual vision clinic we hold for Nanaimo’s less fortunate through the Salvation Army.

If replacing your eyeglasses makes more sense than repairing them, we have a wide selection of eyewear and expert opticians that can help you find the right pair for you.

We are currently open but are taking extra precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our patients and our team. Some of these policies include:

  • Masks and face shields are worn by all staff members

  • We can refine your prescription at a safe distance

  • We allow patients in one at a time to ensure a safe environment when you pick out your new glasses

For further clarification on our policies, please call us directly at 250-591-1018.
